Featuring a CNC-machined aluminum body, 19mm piston and fixed 20mm lever pivot distance, the XR01172 is designed for compatible dual-disc front braking systems. The 20mm lever geometry provides shorter lever travel and requires more hand effort than an equivalent 19x18 configuration. Adjustable lever reach allows riders to tailor the control position, while the long folding blade helps reduce the risk of lever damage during a fall. A hard-anodized finish completes the billet body. This master cylinder is supplied without a reservoir or microswitch, allowing an external reservoir and compatible hydraulic brake-light switch to be selected for the installation. Reservoir Required: When upgrading your master cylinder, you will need an external reservoir to house the excess brake / clutch fluid. The easiest way is to purchase a brake reservoir mounting kit, which has all hardware, hose, clamps, etc included. You can also purchase the reservoirs or tubing separately if you want to custom fit your own. Banjo Bolts Required: When upgrading your master cylinder, you will need new banjo bolts to connect the master cylinder to your brake lines. Choose a single banjo for OEM brake line configurations (one line to the right caliper with a crossover). Choose a double banjo for dual line configurations (one line to each caliper). For race applications, the banjo bolts do not have pressure switches. For street applications, we recommend banjo bolts with pressure switches that allow you to activate the brake lights.
