These modifications increase the torque capacity of the clutch packs, due to a boost in line pressure of up to 68%! BD Allison 1000 transmissions also receive a BD Diesel Deep aluminum pan, for an additional 3.5 quarts of fluid, aiding in cooler transmission temps while towing.
